Cooter’s Pond Pavillion, Prattville. We will be under cover. But it is an open pavilion, so it may be cold!
O900 Setup, coffee and donuts
1000 – 1300 we operate Field Day.
We will have 20m and 40m verticals, a 40-10m endfed, and a random vertical 80-10. we have all needed coax, batteries and band filters. Just bring your radios. Power cords Anderson powerpoles, ring terminals, or bare wire are good.
1200 pizza! 1300 - 1400 cleanup.

Location: Cooter’s Pond Pavillion, Cooter’s Pond Road.
From Hwy 31 (South Memorial Drive, Prattville, AL) take Cooter’s Pond Road
to the dead end. Turn left, ignoring the OneWay sign. Go about 400 feet, turn left,
and enter Cooter’s Pond Park through the gate. Go about 0.4 miles to the pavilion with a parking area on the right.
Hamfest 2025: Nov 8. Alcazar Shrine Temple.
Tables are $20, admission is $10.
The grand prize is a Yaesu FTM-500, with six $25.00 certificates as door prizes.
We hold licensing classes and give license exams. CAVEC testing second Monday of each month, ARRL-VE last Saturday of each month. See club calendar for details.
We participate in the national emergency communications exercise called Field Day. It is a great day for camping out, running radios on generators and solar power, and enjoying great cooking!
We keep our radio direction finding skills sharp with regular fox hunts. Of course, they are a great excuse to get together and have fun!

The Montgomery Amateur Radio Club serves as a hub for amateur radio enthusiasts to come together, learn, and engage in a variety of activities that promote the hobby, enhance technical skills, and contribute to the welfare of the community. Through fox hunts, Field Day events, license classes, testing sessions, and public service initiatives, MARC continues to uphold the spirit of amateur radio and foster a sense of camaraderie among its members.
